Next Visiting Theologian
Martin Marty will be our next visiting theologian at Saint Mark. "'Marty'" is one of the most prominent interpreters of religion and culture today." On September 25, co-sponsored with Willamette Univsersity, he will speak at Willamette in Smith Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, September 26, he will speak at Saint Mark at 10 a.m. followed by a question and answer session at 1:30 p.m. Finally, he will preach at our worship service on Sunday, September 27, at 9:30 a.m. and teach at the Adult Forum at 11:00 a.m. All events are free and open to the public.
Vacation Bible School - July 27 - July 31 The church office has brochures and registration forums.
Forums - Regular forums will resume again in August - watch here for announcements of special forums occasionally offered during the summer
Family Caregiver Support Group - First Thursday of the month at 9:30 -11 AM
Aging Wise, Aging Well Group - a new semi-monthly conversation among older adults committed to successful aging. Think of “successful aging” as adding life to years! Group goals are to learn, share, and support.
The informal group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, at Saint Mark Lutheran Church. There is no charge or registration; the group is open to anyone in the community. Jeff Lukehart will facilitate the group.
